Daily activities at Summerlee Museum during the celebrations, include:
- Vintage cars on display
- Photograph yourself on a throne
- Big Ears trail (£1.50) – hunt for the missing ears (see reception for info)
- Bouncy castle
- Hobby horse polo
- Organ music (1-2pm each day)
You can also join a short, guided tour of the Coronation tram at our engineering workshop on Saturday 7 May – see reception for details.

Join visual arts tutor and artist, Eilidh Manson, for a very special outdoor painting session to celebrate the Coronation weekend. Join two peculiar exotic plant explorers who are on the hunt for exotic plants for the Kings special day. Let’s explore Summerlee Museum to see what interesting plants we can find and the strange things they do with a bit of magic!
The Kings Portrait – LEGO Style (£1)

This is a drop-in activity with limited spaces.
A LEGO building exercise to challenge the imagination! We will give you some ideas of how to create a ‘mosaic’ style portrait using LEGO bricks. Then, using our bricks you can make your very own version of the New King’s face. The results will be photographed and posted on social media.
