May Bank Holiday Weekend/ VE Day Commemorations
This year marks 80 years since the Second World War ended in Europe. The museum will be providing a weekend of film screenings, object handling, local images and related crafts to help families learn about WWII.
This will take place during the May bank holiday Weekend 3-6 May.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Most activities are drop-in, so there is no need to book.

Over this weekend we will also be collecting WWII related memorabilia which can be used in future school workshops. Do you have any old newspapers, ration books, ID cards which you could donate? Bring them along to the museum from 3-6 May to hand them in or email heritagecentre@northlan.gov.uk. Please note, we cannot accept any gas masks or ammunition.
