New Tricks

Our New Tricks events are a varied set of activities aimed at adult library members that happen mainly in some of our town centre libraries.

Spaces are limited at events so booking is essential. Everyone can enjoy a great event and some tea, coffee and biscuits when possible.

Letters Home: George Loudon

As part of Our Freedom : Then and Now project, join our archivist to learn more about George Loudon and his letters, held in our Archive collection. From Airdrie, he served as an engineer with the Royal Engineers, was captured in May 1941 and sent to Stalag XVIII-A. From his letters home we hear about his time there, his thoughts about his fellow prisoners, his fiancee at home and finally his escape in 1944.
