When will the mobile library visit my area?

Do I have to wear a mask?

We continue to follow the latest government guidelines in relation to coronavirus. As part of this, we encourage our visitors to wear a face covering in indoor public places (unless exempt). Our staff continue to wear face coverings (unless exempt).


Will you provide customers with hand sanitising facilities?

Hand sanitiser will be available on the mobile library. All visitors must sanitise their hands on entry and exit.


Will staff be wearing PPE?

Staff will be wearing masks and gloves appropriate to the tasks they are carrying out.


Will there be screens at the counter?

Yes, Perspex screens will be fitted to our counters.


Is there a maximum number of people allowed in at any one time?

Yes. We will limit the number of visitors within the mobile library to one person at a time so you may have to queue to enter.


Can a family group come into the library?

Yes, however, we will have to limit it to one adult with a child at any one time.


Can I browse for books in the library?

Yes, but we would encourage you to browse more with your eyes in order to avoid coming into physical contact with too many items.


Is there a limit to the time I can spend in the mobile library?

We don’t have a strict limit on time, however, we would encourage you to come, browse and select items for issue and leave once they have been issued to allow the next customer to access the mobile library.


What cleaning procedures will you have in place when libraries reopen?

All touch points will be cleaned regularly. Counters will be wiped down regularly.


I’m a library member but can’t remember my online password. How do I get it reset?

If you have forgotten your password, you can contact us via our website to get it reset.


How do I access digital library resources?

Our digital resources are available 24/7. You can access digital library resources such as eBooks, eAudio and eMagazines.
